Taiwan donates million to Dominican Republic for university campus in Haiti
The original plan of the Dominican Republic to build a University in Haiti received a push from a friendly country. Taiwan just donated $1.0 million to support the project. The Taiwan's diplomat handed the check today to head of the State Works Supervisory Office in the Dominican Republic.
The Government of the Dominican Republic came up with a plan to build a University in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. The proposed Haitian University which was made by president Leonel Fernandez is expected to have a capacity for 10,000 students.
