This is a brief history of the evolution of Radio stations in Haiti. According studies, radios arrived in in Haiti around 1960. A the time, it was introduced to the population by the missionaries who wanted the population to only listen to their selected religious stations. At the beginning, no one could change the channel. US missionaries donated the very first receivers to the Haitians hoping that they would be faithful listeners of Radio Lumiere.
