Nelson Mandela was born 18 July 1918 in South African.
Nelson Mandela studied law at the University of Witwatersrand. His involvement in the anti-colonial politics and movement started as he was living in Johannesburg.
Soon, he joined the ANC and becoming a founding member of its Youth League. As the Afrikaner nationalists of the National Party started implementing apartheid policies in South Africa in 1948 Nelson Mandela he became a real leader in the ANC movement as a force opposing that tendency
