Olivier Martelly and the money to build 10 soccer stadiums in Haiti

Olivier Martelly plan to build 10 soccer stadiums in Haiti, one for each Department.

The Government Commissioner Jean Danton Leger has issued a travel ban on Olivier Martelly, the son of former President Michel Martelly, until he can account for the money, hundreds of thousands of dollars, he has received from the State on various projects including the construction of parks and 10 football stadiums in 10 departments of the country. Camille Edward Junior, the present Minister of Justice, has said Government Commissioner Jean Danton Leger is an experienced lawyer. He knows the depth and limits of his power. We might remember that back in April 2012, Oliver and the former Second Lady Sophia Martelly were accused of embezzling money from the public treasury through unauthorized management of a budget of $40 million. Enold Florestal, a courageous man, who filed a legal action asking that Haitian President Martelly's wife, Sophia, and son, Olivier, be investigated for possible corruption, was imprisoned. Serge Joseph, the judge who was investing the corruption charges was threatened and died a suspicious death. The Lower House ordered an inquiry of his death, but revealed nothing.
