The people of Boman have no access to any govenrmental services unless they travel to the main land

This is a picture of the island of Boman. As you can see the entire island is made of shells. It would be very difficult for the residents in the island to have a balanced diet. It is not easy for the people to get in the main land of Haiti unless they use their Bois Fouye or one of the few small boats available.

The island of Boman is a town left to survive

Other than the residents who live in the island of Boman, there are nothing else. It is deprived from most of the basic necessities, including running water and sanitation system. There is no communication system there, no churches, schools or clinics to serve the population

The fishermen are living on a day to day. They don't have any kind of refrigeration system for the fish they caught

One of teh most important structures in the Isle of Boman is its Lighthouse. The lighthouse is being powered by solar energy.

Welcome to the Isle of Boman in Haiti. This small fishing island is located in Petite Riviere De Nippes in Haiti. The total population is no more than 500 people, comprising of about 200 fishermen living with their families. The living condition in Boman is hard for the resedents.

JetBlue Airways flights from  Fort Lauderdale and JFK to Port-au-Prince

JetBlue Airways is beginning non-stop service to Haiti from two U.S. international airports in December 2013.

The services will be From Fort Lauderdale and JFK to Port-au-Prince daily flights. Fort Lauderdale will make two non-stop flights daily to Port-au-Prince an JFK will fly a once-daily non-stop schedule. The flight from JFK will be an Airbus A320, and a 100-passenger Embraer will leave from Fort Lauderdale.

Palace of 365 Doors in Petite-Riviere, Artibonite

Restoration work on Palace of 365 Doors in Petite-Riviere, Artibonite, part of Artibonite Department is under way. This magnificent and historic complex has a great importance in the history of Haiti
Palace of 365 Doors was designed by architect Louis Dupeyrac as a presidential home for King Henri Christophe in 1820. This palace was never completed.

Over the years, the building what was for the most part abandoned, had deteriorated significantly and several attempts were made to restore it.

President Stenio Vincent provided some funding to restore Palace of 365 Doors in Petite-Riviere, Artibonite. This was done primarily to stop any further deterioration and shield the complex from the natural elements.

Under Jean Claude Duvalier, Palace of 365 Doors was made into use as it lodging Haiti's National Security Volunteers. Recently, it was transformed into an elementary school and some national and local government offices.

Founded by uniQ Brief in 1988, Universite Quiskeya has proven, again and again, its training quality and dynamism.

Training at Universite Quiskeya includes two cycles of instructions. The first cycle offers a license or certificate and the second cycle allow them to obtain a Master's Degree or a Doctorate. This is done within six faculties which offer 7 Master's Degree Program(s), 16 Certificate Program(s) and 16 Undergraduate Program(s).

Universite Quiskeya was granted $914,000 grant from Clinton Bush Haiti Fund in December 2011, to support growing and small businesses.

It is known for providing technical knowledge and training to business people.
