Did you expect to see a picture like this in our lifetime? The current president Michel Martelly meets with Jean Bertrand Aristide on Wednesday, October 12, 2011.

The two leaders appear to be fun of eachother. This was not the case a few years ago when Michel Martelly was openly opposed to the presidency of Jean Bertrand Aristide.

However, it seems that the past stays in the past and both Michel Martelly and Jean Bertrand Aristide are willing to forget about the past for a better future for Haiti

This is a picture of the president of Venezuela Hugo Chavez and the former Haitian president Jean Bertrand Aristide. Hugo Chavez passed away on March 5th, 2013, after fighting hard with a cancer. it is quite a sad day for the people lof venezuela, his friends and supporters.

It is interesting to see how two of the most controversial leaders in Haiti manage to have so much in common. In this, I want to refer to Former Haitian Dictator Jean Claude Duvalier and former president Jean Bertrand Aristide. Take a look as the following striking similarities:

1) Both Jean Claude Duvalier & Jean Bertrand Aristide have passionate fanatics

2) Both have been accused of making million by stealing from the government.

3) Both Jean Claude Duvalier and Jean Bertrand Aristide went on exile.

4) Duvalier and Aristide came back from exile within the same year.

5) Duvalier & Aristide were visited at home by Michel Martelly.

6) On February 28, 2013, Jean-Claude Duvalier went to Court. On May 8, 2013, Aristide went to Court.

Does that mean, if one goes to prison, the other would follow?

The Massacre at Raboteau as it comes to be known took place after pro-democracy candidate Jean-Bertrand Aristide won the Haitian presidency. Group by the name of FRAPH Front for the Advancement and Progress of Haiti, attempted a coup d etat. As a result, the people of Raboteau in Gonaives demonstrated. FRAPH in response, killed anywhere from 26 to 50 people.

This is Jean Pierre Baptiste alias Jean Tatoune . He is credited for not only opposing two governments but also worked to remove them from power. Namely Jean Tatoune was in part responsible to the removal of Jean Claude Duvalier from office as well as Jean Bertrand Aristide.

Here is a picture of a rebel leader in haiti. Jean Pierre Baptiste alias Jean Tatoune was one of the gang leaders who contributed to the destabilization of the Lavalas regim. He was able to accomplish that by opposing the government policies.
