Emmanuel Ménard who is the direct representative of the Executive branch of government was elected President. He wan over his opponent Léopold Berlanger, Representative of the Judiciary.

Pierre Simon Georges and Emmanuel Menard both have pledged that the next Haiti election will be free, credible, democratic and honest elections.

Friday, April 19, 2013 was the date where the 9 members of College Transitional of Permanent Electoral Council (CTCEP) went into function.

The new electoral advisers have sworn to implement the provisions of the electoral law

The also stated that they will perform their duties with dignity, independence, impartiality and patriotism.

Advisor, Chantal Raymond was one of the nine members who sworn in before the Court of Cassation. Present at the ceremony were: Me Jean Renel Sanon, members of the diplomatic corps including the U.S. ambassador to Haiti, Pamela White, parliamentarians, representatives of political parties.
