Me Mario Beauvoir has demanded that Judge Maximin be removed from Sherlson Sanon Case

Jean Sanon, Minister of Justice, is refusing to honor attorney Beauvoir's request that his client, Sherlson Sanon, be protected while in prison. Sherlson has had charges levied against him for drug trafficking.

During his confession, Sherlson said Senator Lambert mentored him in a life of crime as a youngster. Judge Maximin, in a pre-trial hearing, seemed biased against Sherlson, and attorney Sanon wants Maximin to recuse himself from the case.

A raid by the Central Directorate of Judicial Police on a home in Tabarre netted $2 million USD in drugs. Croix-des-Bouquet Commissioner, Beauvoir, was at the scene, and has been the target of threatening phone calls.

Beauvoir indicated he would file an action against the undisclosed trafficker. He explained: to disclose the ringleader's identity would compromise the investigation.

Tabarre Mayor, Théodat, is said to be involved also and judicial authorities have forbidden him to leave Haiti.
