JetBlue Airways flights from Fort Lauderdale and JFK to Port-au-Prince
JetBlue Airways is beginning non-stop service to Haiti from two U.S. international airports in December 2013.
The services will be From Fort Lauderdale and JFK to Port-au-Prince daily flights. Fort Lauderdale will make two non-stop flights daily to Port-au-Prince an JFK will fly a once-daily non-stop schedule. The flight from JFK will be an Airbus A320, and a 100-passenger Embraer will leave from Fort Lauderdale.
Engine fire Brazilian Air Force plane Forca Aerea Brasileira in Haiti
Here is a picture of a Brazilian Air Force plane Força Aérea Brasileira. On Sunday, May 26, 2013 one engine of a similar airplane caught fire as the aircraft was taking off at Toussaint Louverture International airport in Port-au-Prince. The Brazilian Air Force plane was transporting 121 peacekeepers and there was any report of death or injury. The incident caused delay at Toussaint Louverture International airport and no airplane allowed to leave leave or land at the airport.
Hotel Montana, Petion-Ville
Here is a picture of Hotel Montana in the city of Petion-Ville, Haiti.
Hotel Montana was built in 1946 and considered at the time one of the best tourist resorts in the country. During the 2010 earthquake, the hotel was affected severely where the main building of the hotel collapsed. An estimated 200 guests were reported missing following the building collapse. Since 2011, management has been working on reconstruction with their bar, pool, restaurant and some rooms already in operation.
New Quantum of the Seas to go to Labadee, Haiti

It will be in operation in 2014 with destination through the Eastern Caribbean cruise from port of Cape Liberty (NJ), docking at Labadee (Haiti), San Juan, Puerto Rico, Charlotte Amalie, U.S. Virgin Islands, Philipsburg, St. Martin and Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis
The New Quantum of the Seas will include Bumper cars, simulated skydiving, an observation capsule
Antoine Simon and his National Railroad Project
One of the major goals of President Antoine Simon was to build a railroad linking Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haitian.
To make this possible, Antoine Simon contracted with American companies such as "MacDonald Contract" to build a railway line between Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haitien. Included in that contract was the cultivation and export of sugar and bananas by the Haitian American Sugar Company. That same contract led to the paving of streets and electrification of Port-au-Prince which facilitate car transportation in Haiti.
Haiti to build motorways over Carrefour and Delmas
Here is a sign of a real plan for development in Haiti. The Haitian government has a plan to improve traffic condition in Port-au-Prince.
They will to build motorways over Carrefour and Delmas to alleviate traffic in these areas. Funding for the project is available and work expected to start soon.

Port Morgan in Ile-a-Vache
Here is a picture of port Morgan in Ile-a-vache. The island resort Port Morgan is named for the pirate captain Henry Morgan (Born in 1635 and died 1688).
Henry Morgan used the island of Ile-a-Vache as a base for his frequent planned and staged operations. History revealed that he narrowly survived when his Jamaica Merchant sank
Abaka Bay resort in Ile-a-Vache
Here is a view of the beaches in Ile-a-Vache taking from the Abaka Bay Resort. This resort is one of the two most beautiful resorts. The other one is Port Morgan.
Ile a Vache translated directly from the French means "Cow Island". However, regardless of the name it is not the few cows that attract a select group to the island, but rather the pristine beaches.
