The election of Michel Martelly: a miracle in Haiti' politic

Norm Greg - April 12 2011, 12:21 PM

My name is Norman Greg. I am a graduate of INAGHEI and Ecole de Droit des Gonaives.

I also hold two doctorates in Theology and Psychology in california.

I am a political commentator and recently, l was the general manager of Radio Espoir International, in New York City.

The President-elect Michel Martelly in Haiti's political system is a miracle.

Mr Martelly is president, only because of the tenacity of the Haitian People.

At least, for the moment leading to his victory, he has satisfied the aspirations of the masses in the poorest country in the Hemisphere.

The masses said no to doctor Mirlande Manigat, because they could not feel her in her quest to the presidency.

Even her degree from one of the oldest University of the world in france was unable to help her candidacy.

The people understood the new president-elect Martelly, simply as a musician, it was easy for him to transmit the message of hope to the entire country, from Port-au-Prince to Jeremie, from Cap Haitien to Jacmel.

The old political class is the big looser and in decay.

Like Jean Bertrand Aristide, President Martelly is an outsider, that is why,
he is the new Commander in Chief and the first Haitian upon his inauguration.
