Director-General of ONA, Bernard Degraff
This is a picture of Bernard Degraff, Director-General of ONA. Bernard Degraff went in front of the Haitian Senate on April 29, 2013 to answer charges of frauds and corruption while managing ONA. He was advised to step down from his position. The request was made by the Committee of Security and Justice Haitian Senate headed by Pierre Francky Excius.
Bernard Degraff also received some aggression from his former employees.
Economist Kesner Pharel reacted about Remobilized Haitian Soldiers
The popular Haitian economist did not paint a bright picture regarding the Remobilized Haitian Soldiers. Kesner Pharel stated: "The state is in all countries, the monopolist of violence. When there is competition in the violence, the state does not exist,". He further mentioned that the security of the people in Haiti is not certain becaouse of so many armed individuals
Haiti Currency, Gourde And Dollar

The first Haitian money which is the gourde started in circulation 1813, some 10 years after its independence. It replaced a previous currency called the livre. The Haitian Gourde was valued at the time at 8 livres.

Haiti is considered to be a consuming society. Most of the products consumed in the country are imported and consequently cost the country a lot of resources. Some of the most frequently imported products by Haiti in 2008 include: Rice: $199.3 million, Wheat: $64.6 million, Pharmaceutical preparations: $40.3 million, Meat and poultry: $33.8 million and tther foods: $26.8 million
Interamerican Development bank to created Social Investment Fund in Haiti
Here is a picture of the logo for Interamerican Development bank(IDB) as it proposed to created a Social Investment Fund(SIF) in Haiti to make financing more easily accessible. The plan is to have funds available in order to provide Micro financing for various projects. The Interamerican Development Bank wants the projects to be focused mainly in the areas of agriculture.
