Here is a picture of Mr. Williams Régala, a former member of Haiti's National Council of Government. He participated in the council of February 1986. During the dictatorship of Jean-Claude Duvalier, he was the head of the secret service. Williams Régala was also Minister of Defense during the short lived government of Leslie Manigat. He also occupied the position of Interior Minister under the National Council.

Nicolas Maduro to represent Venezuelan President, late Hugo Chavez

Nicolas Maduro, the head of state of Venezuela visited Haiti on an official tour to discuss the possibilities and scope of the renewal of special funds for the relief and development of Haiti. During his visit, the new head of state of Venezuela stated that he as here in Haiti to represent the former Venezuelan President, late Hugo Chavez. He stated that it was Chavez's wish to return to Haiti. Maduro had a long discussion with the Haitian President Michel Martelly at the Presidential land.

Implementation of the exchange program Oil against food

The Ministry of Agriculture has announced a three year agricultural recovery plan for strengthening the agriculture so that Haiti becomes capable to take part in the oil against food exchange program with Venezuela. The concerned minister said, use of agricultural products as currency is a good idea to pay debt for oil. However, to reach that stage, Haiti must increase its agricultural crops from present level so that after meeting the local consumption need we have enough for exchange. The ministry has already selected 16 products (such as, cocoa, coffee, peas, beans, banana, etc) to begin negotiation with Venezuela.

The Special Envoy of the World Bank Mary Barton-Dock received some harsh words from the Ambassador of Venezuela in Haiti, Pedro Antonio Canino. This came to be following her critic of the government of Martelly-Lamothe for the way they have been handling fund from PetroCaribe.

According to Pedro Antonio Canino, the World Bank had no business to interfere in the Petrocaribe program

,publicly criticized the government for the way he has been managing the fund from PetroCaribe

According to some reliable sources, the order for Pierre Richard Casimir to become the new Secretary of State in Haiti was signed by President Michel Martelly and Prime Minister Garry Conille. The order was already signed by both President Michel Martelly and Prime Minister Garry Conille.

Pierre Richard Casimir was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on February 19, 1970. he received a Law Degree at Haiti State University in 1994.

Mr. Casimir held the following positions in the past: Program Director, USAID Poor Detainees Legal Assistance Program, 1995-1999. Legal Assistant and Interpreter, U.S. Embassy Ministerial Advisory Team on Justice. Legal Counsel to the President of the Republic of Haiti, 1999. Deputy Director, Private Office of the Minister of Justice, 2001. Member of the Private Office of the President of the Republic of Haiti, 2004-2005. General Consul of Haiti in Montreal, 2005.

After defeating France, Boyer and the Haiti had to practically buy its independence from the European country at the sum of 150 million francs. The sum, which was to be paid within five years had to be reduced to 90 million francs years later, and the badly pauperized Haiti had to borrow the money from France itself. They had found themselves in an untenable situation as Boyer was eager to have the country declared independent. Productivity had fallen and the President attempted to implement a system of semi-feudal fermage to combat the change.
