Protestors accuse Clinton Foundation of Misspending Funds for Earthquake Recovery

Some of the Haitian Diaspora amassed in front of the Clinton Foundation offices in Harlem to protest $10 billion in recovery funds was misspent on Haiti's reconstruction. They said the bulk of the money was given to non-Haitian firms. They targeted CF because it spearheaded the recovery efforts.

One protestor asserted earthquake survivors are living in tent cities ". . . while bill Clinton and his cronies . . . waste this money."

Haiti Recovery Commission, IHRC, has unveiled a plan to remove 30,000 people from six tent cities and help them to go back home. IHRC will spend close to $78 million to make sure the project is materialized. The actual plan is rehabilitate a total of 16 neighborhoods around Port-au-Prince that were destroyed by the 2010 earthquake.

The Interim Haiti Recovery Commission headed by Former U.S. President Bill Clinton and Prime Minister of Haiti, Mr. Jean-Max Bellerive was formed following the 2010 Haiti earthquake to ensure planning and implementation of the recovery efforts
