According to information received in our office, and news just published on bernama.com, the Haitian press freedom watchdog, SOS Journalistes, has confirmed that Argentine authorities have arrested Mr. Markington Philippe in Argentine.

The two governments were in the process of working together to extradite Markington Philippe to Haiti to stand in trial.

This arrest took place as a result of an investigation that was conducted by Judge Ivickel Dabrezil and an international arrest warrant was issued consequently for his arrest
