Renovating work completed at Port of Petit Goave
Here is a picture of the newly renovated Port of Petit Goave. It was inaugurated on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, by president Michel Martelly. What new with this port is a new customs offices and a bonded warehouses that is now complies with the ISPS Code.
The new Port of Petit Goave is comprised of an area of 51 m2. It is part of a plan to make Haiti more accessible to the international trade. It will offer transportation of people and merchandises to the city as well as the entire region. The port is expected to facilitate the transport of agricultural and handicraft production and also improve tourism in the region
The reconstruction of the Port of Petit-Goâve was done locally creating several needed jobs. Economic Construction Maritime SA (Eccomar SA) was in charge of the project which lasted about ten months at a cost of $ 2.33 million
