Secretary of State Kerry Reaffirms U.S. Commitment to Haiti

U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, spoke on Haiti's 210th anniversary, saying the U.S. wants ". . . to help all Haitians . . . chart a path toward greater peace, security, and prosperity." .

Kerry spoke about legislation in Congress for recovery efforts, after the 2010 earthquake shattered Haiti.

Kerry is re-committing to Haiti's development ". . . in a way that creates an opportunity to emerge better off and better prepared", with help from the U.S.

According to some reliable sources, the order for Pierre Richard Casimir to become the new Secretary of State in Haiti was signed by President Michel Martelly and Prime Minister Garry Conille. The order was already signed by both President Michel Martelly and Prime Minister Garry Conille.

Pierre Richard Casimir was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on February 19, 1970. he received a Law Degree at Haiti State University in 1994.

Mr. Casimir held the following positions in the past: Program Director, USAID Poor Detainees Legal Assistance Program, 1995-1999. Legal Assistant and Interpreter, U.S. Embassy Ministerial Advisory Team on Justice. Legal Counsel to the President of the Republic of Haiti, 1999.
