The locals also rent out boats to the tourists so that they can visit the nearby villages and beaches.

On May 16, 2013, President Michael Martelly conducted the inauguration of the new village. It is taking the name of a great Haitian singer Lumane Casimir for her contribution to the rich culture of Haiti, music in particular. The inauguration was the part of 1st phase of rental housing construction in Morne-à-Cabris.
