Hhat is exactly Haitian houssa?

Hhat is exactly Haitian houssa?

Since I was a child growing up in Haiti, I have been hearing that certain people called Houssa have the capacity to mysteriously take away your money from your pocket. How many of you believe this is in fact true?

On my part, until someone can actually show me that he/she actually take my money, i will not believe it

The is so popular among Haitians that no one so far have has managed to challenge this concept.

This believed seems to have been as a result of Voodoo.

This is how it works, you buy something and pay in cash, the changes you receive from the seller mysteriously go back to the seller.

The Haitian Voodoo originated from West Africa and arrived in in the island during the slave trading days, when the slaves were brought over. Voodoo was able to survive as a religion as well as a culture because it was mixed and integrated with Roman Catholicism from the French plantation owners.

Because of Hollywood and bigotry, many have identified Voodoo which is beautiful religion and culture with Black magic

Prayers as well as dancing and music are also major elements of the Voodoo ceremony. Animal sacrifice is acommon practice during a Voodoo ceremony. Animals are considered sacred in Voodoo and are used as offerings to the gods and ancestors.
