In the Haiti where I grew up, no matter how poor a parent could be, he/she wants her son or daughter to be very well educated.

And, the
sky is the limit.Doctor, lawyer, engeneer, professor, nurse, etc,etc
A child would walk many miles, particularly in the countryside to
attend school.

The children were wellbehaved and eager to learn.

This was simply, "The Good Old Time".
