The Haitian government will have the honor of receiving the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Patriota, in the country. He will arrive in Haiti on July 11 for an official where the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs is scheduled to meet President Michel Martelly.

During this visit, Antonio Patriota is expected to discuss several issues such as the Brazilian assistance in the reconstruction process in Haiti and the technical cooperation and humanitarian assistance.

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff  first visit in Haiti to intensify cooperation

The president of the country leading MINUSTAH peacekeeping force is in Haiti. During her first visit in the country, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff will take a first hand look at the devastation of the 2010 Haiti earthquake and the progress in the recovery effort.

She will also work with the Cuban team in Haiti that has made such a difference in the area of Healthcare.

President Dilma Rousseff also has plan to provide support in Haiti in the area of health and agriculture. The Brazilian President will also provide help in vocational training and hydroelectric plant in Haiti to increase its electrical capacity.

During her visit to Haiti in February, 2012, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff made some remarkable and effective decisions in regard to the refugee problems. The South America leader announces to release more than $ 500,000 to provide assistance and aid for 4,000 Haitians immigrants who are being granted permanent residency.
