Flooding caused by Lake Azuei in Thomazeau Haiti.
The Haitian government in cooperation with the United Nations are in the process of managing a flooding caused by Lake Azuei in the region of Thomazeau in Haiti. About 1,000 individuals need to be evacuated due to flooding. It has been reported so far just over fifty families in the region have agree to be relocated.
On Sunday, Lake Azuei also known as etang Saumatre which is located in the northeast part of Haiti started inundating several villages near Thomazeau. This problem has been made worst by the ongoing problem of deforestation and erosion in Haiti
