Sophia Saint Remy Martelly born in New York, running for Haiti Senate
Here is a picture of Haiti First Ladt, Sophia Saint Remy Martelly. She was born in New York City but decided to run for a senate seat in Haiti
The First Lady Sophia Saint Remy Martelly was born in New York, USA. On the last day of submitting nominations for contesting to be elected to the Senate, she has registered her candidacy for the seat on behalf of her husband's center-right liberal "Tèt Kale Party (PHTK)". Her friends often term her as "the power behind the throne" while her enemies describe her as "iron lady." However, Article 96 (1) of the Haitian constitution may put a stop to all her moves on the presidency issues. The related provision reads like that......" To be elected to the Senate, a person must be a native born Haitian and never have renounced his nationality". She renounced her Haitian citizenship in 1989, because then she used to spend more time in U.S and before 2011, dual citizenship was not permitted in the Haitian constitution. She has registered her nomination, perhaps purposely, on the final day so that it just leaves 3 days before the Department Electoral Offices (BEDs) to receive and review any complaints or objections on the candidacies and publish the names of the approved candidates on May 1. It is a big issue before the BED to decide its credibility.

Here is a picture of Haitian Businessman Marc Antoine Acra.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2015, one of the vessel (MANZANARES) of the twenty years old sugar importing company NABATCO was seized with 77 kilos of cocaine and 10 kilos of heroin. However, in response, the Director General M Marc Antoine Acra of the company categorically rejected this statement as derogatory rumors and has said that NABATCO is in the sugar trade for over twenty years and they are managing the global sugar export business with excellent reputation and track record. His vessels carrying cargos of sugar do not belong to his company. A Freight American company chartering boats for NABATCO receives payments of the freight and is fully responsible for the contents of the cargo loaded on the ships. These cargos are accepted under the supervision of Colombian port authorities, checked by the narcotics control authorities and the security service before leaving the port of Buenaventura. NABATCO is nothing more than a vessel owner, and cannot be held responsible for any act performed beyond the limits its knowledge.
Judge Raymond Jean-Michel

Judge Raymond Jean-Michel Implicated in Several Controversial Cases
Judge Raymond Jean-Michel, the Dean of the Civil Court of Port-au-Prince, is never new to controversy. He was responsible for assigning the case of kidnapper and drug trafficker Sonson Lafamilia to an embattled judge Lamarre Belzaire who released Sonson Lafamilia and Renel Nelfort on grounds of insufficient evidence. The two persons released were known hardcore criminals involved in many cases of kidnapping, money laundering, sequestration, illicit drug trafficking, murder and criminal conspiracy. Magistrate Belizaire is a lone fighter of justice who has always remained under tremendous pressure and constant threats from every camp. Once he was considered extremely aligned with the Martelly administration, but, however, he earned their ire too through some of his unbiased decisions. When he issued a travel ban against the former President Jean Bertrand Aristide and some of his closest allies and many from the closest allies of the current President Martelly and former Prime Minister Lamothe, his residence was heavily sprayed with bullets by unknown individuals.
The Dean of the Civil Court Jean-Michel is also responsible to drive the late Judge Jean Serge Joseph at the law offices of Gary Lissade to a meeting with President Martelly, Minister of Justice Jean Renel Sanon and Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe where the judge was heavily threatened to stop the continuation of a case against the presidential family involving First Lady Sophia Martelly and her son Oliver Martelly on charges of corruption, embezzlement, and usurpation of titles. The judge was so threatened there, he became a totally panicked and broken man. He died of a massive brain hemorrhage on the third day, July 13, 2013. The autopsy report of his body was never released to the public.
On Wednesday, April 22, 2015, the CSJP has removed Judge Raymond Jean-Michel from his seat of the Dean of the Civil Court of Port-au-Prince for his alleged involvement in the Woodly "Sonson Lafamilia" Etheart release trial. After the hearing of the CSJP, Judge Raymond has acknowledged his fault. In an interview with Le Nouvelliste, the CSPJ Councilor Dilia Lemaire has told, we have heard his explanation, now his fate is under consideration of the Supreme Council.
