Haitian lawmakers in new $1.9 million temporary building
A new facility for Haitian legislators is ready for use. That was the case with the inaugurated a temporary building complex that was to house the Haitian legislative power until a new and permanent National Assembly building is built. A permanent legislative Palace is not expected to become operational until several years from now.
This new temporary facility that costs $1.9 million to build, was paid for by the U.S. Agency for International Development. It was inaugurated on November 21, 201. Present at the inauguration was U.S. Embassy officials and Haitian President Michel Martelly and Prime Minister Garry Conille
16 Haitian Senators are against Bernard Gousse and 18, for
President Michel Martelly reassure the Haitian population that his candidate for the post of Prime Minister, Bernard Gousse will be confirmed by the Haitian Senate. Out of a total of 30 Haitian Senators, the president stated that he has nearly 18 Senators are prepared to ratify Mr. Bernard Gousse as Prime Minister.
This is contrary to a resolution signed by 16 Haitian Senators where all sixteen of them rejected the designation of Mr. Bernard Gousse as Prime Minister
