Paula Caldwell St-Onge, New Ambassador of Canada to Haiti

On September 26, 2014, John Baird, the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs has announced the diplomatic appointment of Ms. Paula Caldwell St-Onge in the place of Henri-Paul Normandin, as the new ambassador to the Republic of Haiti.

Ms. Caldwell St-Onge was born in Colombia, completed her Bachelors Honors Degree in Sciences from Queen's University. She can speak French, English and Portuguese.

In 1989, she started her career in the public service at the Federal Environmental Assessment Agency. She has held other important senior positions in the Canadian Environment department, the Privy Council Office, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Minister Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner in Mexico and Brazil.
