Here is a picture of the former candidate for the presidential election of Haiti. Mr. Gerard Gourgue Gourgue. He is a politician , lawyer , activist for human rights, minister, ambassador and teacher.

He studied at the Lycée Alexandre Pétion in Port-au-Prince, then university in Haiti and France. In 1978, in order to fight the abuses of the dictatorship of Jean-Claude Duvalier and his Tontons Macoutes , Gourgue established the Haitian Human Rights League.
Gerard Gourgue was named to be part of the National Council of Government (CNG) following the exile of Jean Claude Duvalier. However, within a Month, he had to resign headed by Henri Namphy due to differences

Alexandre Lerouge was supposed to run against Claude Vixamar, a former Prefect and one of the most popular personality in Cap-Haitian at the time.

Story would reveal that it was not the intention of Vixamar to run against Alexandre Lerouge. It was an order that came all the way from the first Lady, Simone Duvalier

She was responsible for social issues and public health issues. At one point, Dr. Narciste was actively involved in national immunization campaign in Haiti. Dr. Maryse Narcisse at one point was the victim of a kidnapping. She has been member of the National Commission of the Fanmi Lavalas Party

Edmonde Supplice Beauzile replaced Victor Benoit as new Fusion Head

A new generation of leaders is born in the Haitian political party Fusion. Unlike many political parties in Haiti, it is a good thing to watch the changing of the guard in Fusion. The Senator of Central Department, Senator Edmonde Supplice Beauzile, was just named the new head of the party. Ms. Beauzile, becomes the second woman to head a political party in Haiti, after Mirlande Manigat of RDNP.

The election of Edmonde Supplice Beauzile tFusion marks a shift. The party is hoping this new blood would bring the youth and the women in the Haitian society to become more involved in Fusion. Many in the political field see this move as wise

The Political leader Evans Paul is definitely not impress with the performance of our current political leaders. He believes that Haitian politic is now being done by non professional in the area. Evans Paul thinks that the current political crisis in Haiti is the result of bad policy. He accused both Michel Martelly of lacking know-how.
Evans Paul did not agree with the statements of the President Michel Martelly, suggesting that the country is experiencing a legislative dictatorship. He wants us to understand that the Haitian the parliament was acting within its power when rejected both choices of the president for Prime Minister
