Here is something that will make Haiti proud. At least it is a welcome news for the tourism industry in Haiti that has been working hard to make things happen.
In its edition of May 28, 2013, CNN, conducted a survey to rank the 100 most beautiful beaches in the world. Ile-à-Vache came out in very good position. In fact, according to the survey,
Abaka Bay, Abaka, Indian name of Ile-à-Vache was ranked the 57th most beautiful beach in the world.

Here is a view of the beaches in Ile-a-Vache taking from the Abaka Bay Resort. This resort is one of the two most beautiful resorts. The other one is Port Morgan.
Ile a Vache translated directly from the French means "Cow Island". However, regardless of the name it is not the few cows that attract a select group to the island, but rather the pristine beaches.
