Celestin Supporters Threaten Insurrection if Moise Prevails in Vote Count

In the wake of preliminary results of the October 25th presidential balloting, demonstrators took to the streets in protest of what they deemed to be fraudulent results, due to the opacity of the balloting process and allegations of voter fraud. At one rally of 300 protestors in Port-au-Prince, the crowd turned ugly and violent, throwing rocks at the Haitian police. The police responded with tear gas to scatter the protestors. The rally lasted three hours, causing traffic to gridlock.
