Dread

On December 2, 2014, Several hundred Haitians with dread took to the streets of Port-au-Prince to protest recent aggression by the Police National. According to some who were participating, Police have targeted recently some people with Dread hear style to cut their hair.

Dreads, also called Dreadlocks, are matted coils of hair. It is done by leaving the hair and not brushing or cutting the hair. This will allow it to tangle together leading to twisted, matted ropes as it grows. This type of hair is named as dreadlocks.

Dread became popular and a fashion statement during the 1970's when reggae music gained popularity. Dreads were adopted by prominent authors, actors, athletes and rappers. The Freeform dreadlocks are created by allowing the hair to knit together naturally into locks

To become a dread, does an individual have to stop brushing, combing or cutting his hair?
