Aristide and Duvalier, so much in common

Aristide and Duvalier, so much in common

It is interesting to see how two of the most controversial leaders in Haiti manage to have so much in common. In this, I want to refer to Former Haitian Dictator Jean Claude Duvalier and former president Jean Bertrand Aristide. Take a look as the following striking similarities:

1) Both Jean Claude Duvalier & Jean Bertrand Aristide have passionate fanatics

2) Both have been accused of making million by stealing from the government.

3) Both Jean Claude Duvalier and Jean Bertrand Aristide went on exile.

4) Duvalier and Aristide came back from exile within the same year.

5) Duvalier & Aristide were visited at home by Michel Martelly.

6) On February 28, 2013, Jean-Claude Duvalier went to Court. On May 8, 2013, Aristide went to Court.

Does that mean, if one goes to prison, the other would follow?

Francois Duvalier - Throwing Money On The Streets To The Crowd

One of the most effective propaganda methods during the Duvalier reign was throwing Money on the streets to the crowd. If you are over fifty yearsw and was growing up in Haiti, you probably got some of that money. Usually ther were children taging alog the Government car to have an opportunity to receive that money .

Most of the propaganda used by the Duvalier were considered to be positive by the people included in the inner circle of the government. For those people, the Duvalier propaganda were considered objectively and then interpreted as positive or negative, depending on the perspective of the viewer or listener.

Francois Nicolas Duvalier rumored to be in Michel Martelly Government

Rumor has it that Francois Nicolas Duvalier, son of the former Haitian president, Jean Claude Duvalier is part of the government of Michel Martelly. According to Senator Moise Jean-Charles who announced on the popular radio show RAMASE. Many people are calling him Ti Nicolas Duvalier. The "Haitian Joudalist was unable to confirm the information, however, if it is true, it would represent a sign that all Haitians are now included in the future of Haiti. I personally think this would have been a great move for the Martelly government. It would be preferable for the martelly's government to go all the way by inviting some high level members of the Lavalas Party as well. More than anything, Haiti needs to reconcile with itself.
