The Office of Insurance Against Third Vehicles (OAVCT) launched national competition to design new logo

After 50 years in business, the Office of Insurance Against Third Vehicles (OAVCT) wishes to update their look with a new logo, and launched a national competition to find one. Open to specialized firms and professionals, the winning logo will be selected for its ability to show the company's overhaul into the modern age, and the vitality of the new management team. Participants must email their entries to arketing@oavct.gouv.ht along with their full name, National Identification number, and Tax Identification number. Specialized firms must send a copy of their up-to-date license.

Here is a picture of Mr. Emmanuel Ménard, the new person in charge of the Office of National Old Age Insurance (ONA)

On the occasion of celebrating its 49th anniversary, the Office of National Old Age Insurance (ONA) launched a brand new auditorium with an accommodating capacity of 500 seatings. On this opportunity, the new Director-General of ONA, Emmanuel Ménard presented the progress made in the present fiscal year (2013--2014) by the company during his five month tenure. So far, the company has become successful to raise 161 million gourdes in terms of contribution and it is a part of the fulfillment of his promise to make the institution profitable. The company has established "INFONA", an information service by internet (ona@ona.ht). Emmanuel Ménard, was the past President of the Transitional College of the Permanent Electoral Council (CTCEP) before being appointed as the Director-General of ONA on May 29, 2014. He replaced Bernard Desgraff in a situation when Desgraff was accused of squandering ONA employee funds, and the company was needing a high banking experienced manager not a politician with very little knowledge in management.

Caribbean Development Bank covers Haiti for Natural Disasters

Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) will pay Haiti's insurance premium to the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) for coverage period June 1, 2014 - May 31, 2015. CCRIF, an insurance fund used to mitigate damages caused by natural disasters, protects Caribbean countries. Funding was provided by Japan with contributions from international donors.

CDB Director Pierre-Louis thanked the CDB Board of Directors for the grant they approved at their meeting in Barbados on October 16, 2014.
