The Nobel Peace winner for his peacemaking efforts in Central America does not think it would be a good thing for President Michel Martelly to return with the disbanded Haiti Military. He stated that would be an error. He suggested for the money to be invested instead on education, health and strengthening other institutions.

Michel Martelly wants to return with Haiti military to provide security and control Haiti's border with the Dominican Republic.

Mr. Alfredo Moreno, the Chilean Minister of Foreign Affairs visits a Haiti

The Haitian president, Michel Martelly receives the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs for Chile, Mr. Alfredo Moreno in August 2011. He was welcomed at the national palace where the Minister of Foreign Affairs communicated the desire for his country to work with Haiti in several areas, including health, education and national security. An agreement came out of that meeting for Chile to help Haiti in building a national Military force. Mr. Alfredo Moreno also invited the Haitian president to visit Chile which is to take place in a few Months.
