Jocelerme Privert and Enex Jean-Charles

Here is a picture of Provisional President Jocelerme Privert with his Prime Minister Enex Jean-Charles.

Now with the Interim President Jocelerme Privert and the Prime Minister Enex Jean-Charles, the country has found four able hands of administration, unlike the earlier Martelly-Lamothe tandem, where both were inexperience to manage the uphill tasks lying before them. The Privert-Jean-Charles has a heavy responsibility to complete the remaining election process in a fair and credible way. A responsibility which is comparable to working on a minefield. Since no election could be arranged before April 24th, the agreement of February 5th, 2016, has been scrapped. The nation is depending on these two experienced men, President Privert and Prime Minister Enex Jean-Charles. The time will tell how they could guide us to a better tomorrow.

The findings of the Verification Commission, too hot to handle

May 30, 2016 - As soon as President Jocelerme Privert received the report from the Verification Commission, handed it over to the President of the CEP, Leopold Berlanger, who would be responsible to determine on whether or not to follow the recommendations of the Commission. One of the recommendations was to redo the presidential elections. The only comment from Privert was to urged the CEP to "make good use of the report and the decision was not his to make"

Some say that president Privert intelligently transferred a hot potato over to the CEP

Guy Philippe draws line in the sand of Deriveau for Jocelerme Privert

Here is a famous statement pronounced by the Haitian strong man Guy Philippe as he draws a line in the sand of Deriveau for Jocelerme Privert.

"Polices are not enemies. My enemies are in the National Palace". "The President is a macaque covered with the skin of a tiger. If he thinks he is a tiger, that he comes to Pestel execute his threats".

"If the President decides to attack me, as did before him Aristide and René Préval, do not worry, we will react. I do not ask the population to face them, I have people to do it. If they want to come, let them. But when they come at the level of Deriveau, cut all the roads to prevent them from going back and I'll take care of the rest." - Guy Philippe, May, 2016

The massacre of La Scierie, town of Saint-Marc

The massacre of La Scierie, town of Saint-Marc

Here are some picture of the massacre of La Scierie in the town of Saint-Marc.

A few days before the departure of Aristide on February 29, 2004 following a coup d'état, about 44 Lavalas opponents were killed. Seven people were arrested, including former Prime Minister Yvon Neptune, former Deputy Amanus Mayette and former Interior Minister and present Provisional President Jocelerme Privert. Most people of St Marc, including the National Coalition for Haitian Rights (NCHR-Haiti) insisted that Prime Minister Neptune was responsible for the genocide. NCHR described that as-- "cruel, horrific, savage and barbaric" "crime against humanity"; it was "genocide. However, the former Prime Minister Neptune had objected to the term 'massacre', because he considered "that was a fight between two different sides. Ramicose, which was an organization close to the opposition, fought with Bale Wouze, which was a popular organization belonging to Lavalas." However, no sufficient evidence was found, none of the accused were convicted, nor even tried in connection with the La Scierie incident. In a recent interview on Radio Magic 9, the Provisional President Jocelerme Privert rejected every allegation when he was asked about his involvement in the massacre of La Scierie in Saint-Marc town.

He believes President Jocelerme Privert and Prime Minister Fritz Jean, both are followers of Aristide and members of his Lavalas party which has damaged the Haitian politic severely. He did not hesitate to refer the Provisional President Privert and Prime Minister Nominee Fritz Jean as rats, rabble, delinquents who only dress like humans. Senator Andris Riche from the Alternative for Progress & Democracy party was the Vice President of the Senate following the departure of former President Simon Dieuseul Desras; he was elected as the Senate President in January 2015.
