Here is a picture of three members of the group. We are doing a servey of the group Harmonik to see how the audience views them. Do yu think the group has good potential in the Haitian music industry? Another question that is also important for any Haitian musical band. Do you think the group Harmonik will remain together for a long time?

There is always a good reason for any one to be pessimistic about any Haitian Kompa band. Except for a few band such as Septentrional and tropicana that somehow have been able to keep themselves glued together for a long time, most band do not take that route.

Hopefully the group harmonik will prove us wrong

Carimi band is a group of nine musicians and the main genre of music they play is the Kompa. The Band was started by three members and later grew to a nine member group. The three members were Mickael Guirand, Carlo Vieux and Richard Cave and at the time they had met in New York. They had left their home country as a result of the prevailing political uncertainty.

From this point the Carimi band began to gain international recognition not to mention in their home country and in Europe, and America. The first album produced by the Carimi band was voted as the album of the year. They have gone into the records as on the highly efficient Kompa musicians in Haiti and even today their work is continually being appreciated.

Here is the Haitian singer Jacques Sauveur Jean who so idolizes Martelly that he likes to refer to himself as the Minister of Kompa . A stunningly beautiful man, with eyes that mesmerize, Jakito as he is also known began his music career in the late 80s singing kompa, and some of his more well-known songs include Plus D Elle, Mademoiselle, Cryin and Singin , and Felicite. With President Martelly in his corner, Jean-Sauveur could win this election on his charisma as a performer and his good looks alone.
