They are in the street selling their goods, they are on the road toward various cities in Haiti early going to the market place to sell and also very late on the same roads, returning after a hard day of work with often little to no compensation for their sacrifices. They are the Madan Sara of Haiti. They travel to deliver produce and provide a large share of food to city dwellers.

It does not say there. These Haitian Madan Sara are also found in various countries in the Caribbean, South America and the US to buy products for the purpose of reselling in Haiti

Often dressed in bright colors with sharp tongue, the Madan Saras have survived throughout the years. Women in Haiti head more than 70% of Haiti's households by themselves

The Haitian Madan Sara are truely the Poto Mitan in the Haitian society
