Ronald Nelson, alias Roro Nelson, a close associate of former President Martelly was summoned by the Government Commissioner of Port-au-Prince on April 11, 2016 to appear before the court on April 15, 2016. Since he did not respond to the charges of theft, extortion, and embezzlement of state fund, an arrest warrant was issued against him on Thursday, April 14. During the Martelly regime, he captured properties of more than 50 expatriates. Now, he is a fugitive from Haitian justice. A travel ban has been issued against him. Recently, the Government Commissioner Danton Leger was shocked to see Roro on television performing with former President Michel Martelly in a Haitian musical event in Miami, Florida. Leger is planning to take the help of INTERPOL to arrest him and bring him to justice.

In June 2014, Roro Nelson, a close associate and Adviser to former Haitian President Michel Martelly assaulted six medical students of the University Quisqueya who were on their way to the University for exam. The incident occurred at Ruelle Nazon, north of the capital, when the Nelson's Cadillac registered in the Dominican Republic (number G-201860) tried to overtake the students' car. Roro got annoyed as he was unable to pass through the traffic jam. He came out of his car accompanying a police officer and started beating the students. The students launched accusations against "Roro" Nelson, and a police officer, for having beaten them during the incident of road rage.

There is a major confrontation with Roro Nelson who was invited in court and Jean Danton Leger. Who will have the last laugh.

Ronald Nelson, alias Roro Nelson was summoned by the Government Commissioner Jean Danton Leger to clarify the allegations of theft and extortion brought against him. This close associate of former President Martelly was first summoned by the Government Commissioner of Port-au-Prince on April 11, 2016, with a scheduled date to appear on April 15, 2016. Since he did not respond, the prosecutor of Port-au-Prince issued a warrant against him on Thursday, April 14. The spokesman prosecutors Mirlande Dupiche Prévost had explained that this warrant has been issued after he shunned two invitations of the Government Commissioner of Port -au-Prince Mr. Danton Leger to appear before him. In the mean time, some preventive actions against him like travel ban to leave the country, have already been taken. Some of the allegations brought against him include: awarding Oliver Martelly a several million US dollar contract to construct a large sports complex, extortion on money on properties of citizens, etc. Now, it is time for us to watch who finally retreat-- Roro Nelson or Danton Leger.

Here is a picture of the guy who was accused for the Domestic violence case. Ronald (Roro) Nelson, an active member of the Haitian community of Boston was accused of assault and battery on his ex-girlfriend Marie Astrid Pantal Walsh at BMC Dorchester court in Boston on November 14, 2011.

According to declaration made by the victim, Roro Nelson beat her.

Roro Nelson was found guilty in the Dorchester Civil Court in Boston, Massachusetts by a jury of 12 and his conviction carried a one year probation.
