This is a picture that marked a era in Haiti history. Francois Duvalier and Jean-Claude Duvalier seen here in this picture are two Haitian leaders who were in power for life. Francois Dudalier died in power and before his death passed the presidency to his son Jean-Claude Duvalier.

During the Duvalier reign, there were famous names such as: Madame Max Adolphe, Georges J. Figaro, Michele Bennett, Jean-Mary Chanoine, Chief of Duvalier secret Police Luc Desir, General Jacques Gracia, Francois Duvalier Cabinet member Luckner Cambronne. Also, there was the famous Fort-Dimanche, Casernes Dessalines, Force Armee D'Haiti and Volontaire de la Securite Nationale.

This form of communication from the Haitian government was used frequently to influence the attitude of the population toward the Duvalier cause. These biased messages had only one purpose to encourage participation and belief in the Duvalier regime.

How many people remember this propaganda from Duvalier. La Nation Entiere L'Acclame, Francois Duvalier President a Vie de la Republique. This was the time when your opinion was made for you. Just before the overthrow of the Duvalier regime, these propaganda acquired a strong negative connotation by having the public seeing it as too manipulative.

At the time you did not have any choise but to make such a sons and also for teh population to sing it.

Some propaganda are seeing as positive. Most of the propaganda used by the Duvalier were considered to be positive by the people included in the inner circle of the government. For those people, the Duvalier propaganda were considered objectively and then interpreted as positive or negative, depending on the perspective of the viewer or listener

- He ruled with fear and intimidation. He used his Tonto macoutes or Volontaire de la Securite Nationale to remain in power
