Haitian historian Georges Corvington

He was b in the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince and began writing in the 1970s. He has collected a large volume of books. Hes preferred subject in his writing include Haitia National Palace and National Cathedral.
His longtime friend Georges Michel said that Covington had recently spent a few weeks in the hospital and the family stated that the cause of death was heart failure.
The office of President Michel Martelly released a statement on the occasion. He said that with Covington's passing the country had lost a "treasure of inestimable value."
