Saint-Ignace College Students get Stoned and Tear-Gassed
Violence erupted at Saint-Ignace College in Petit Goâve when Democratic Opposition Bloc (BOD) protestors hurled stones at Departmental Unit for Maintenance of Order (UDMO) officers. The protestors wanted release of students held captive. In response UDMO tear-gassed BOD and students became caught in the conflict, fainting.
Alain Pierre instructed the victims to come Wednesday to meet the Mixed Liberation Front, and a report of UDMO's transgressions would be sent to Minister Delva.
Arnel Belizaire hospitalized due to Hunger Strike
Here is the latest on Deputy Arnel Belizaire as he continues with his hunger strike. This Sunday, due to the condition of his health that have been deteriorating since the beginning of his hunger strike he was taken to the hospital of Canapé vert.
Doctors will be following him there to determine whether or not it is safe to continue with his hunger strike.

The opponent of the government of Michel Martelly and spokesman of the FOPARK received his arrest on Saturday, close to the International Airport Toussaint Louverture.
Rony Timothee as arrested as he was in a car. According to sources, he was presented in front of a judge and the taken to Jail in Petion-Ville. Based on information released to the press by inspector Garry Desrosiers, Haiti National Police was actively looking for Mr. Rony Timothee as a warrant was issued against him. He has been accused for disturbing public order and vehicles fire on April 28.
Also it was reported that following the violent protest of May 14, several individuals who had been victimized complained to the Police.
Twenty four hours before the arrest of FOPARK leader Rony Timothee, the minister of Justice released a note to the public asking them not to participate in any protest considered by the government to be violent
