Three arrests in connection with killing of Lencie Mirville

The officers from the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ) have arrested four suspected kidnappers and murderers of Lencie S. Mirville, on the night of December 19. Lencie Mirville (23 years), a student of the University Quisqueya was kidnapped on December 3rd in Bizoton 51. Despite paying the ransom ($50,000) by her father, the girl's body was found on December 8th, disfigured and wrapped in a sheet at the bottom of a cliff in Morne Karaté. The four persons arrested in this connection by the police are: Desir Jebson aka "Sonson" or "Lapoula", (28 years), Barthelemy Edison (32 years), Jean Francky (42), and William B. Géraldy. The criminals have confessed their crime and the police have confiscated the car used in the kidnapping. One of the kidnappers, "Sonson" was an employee (car mechanic) of the victim's father, who is a pastor. The pastor never realized that "Sonson" was one of the kidnappers. The pastor had given him the ransom money to deliver the kidnappers. "Sonson", the killer of Lencie, to show his innocence, was present during the young girl's funeral and carried her coffin.

On Wednesday, October 14, 2015, in the Delmas 24 neighborhood, Wilbert Etienne (29) a member of the 24th Promotion of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), while returning from a bank in civilian clothes after collecting a loan of 180,000 gourdes, was robbed and killed by two men on motorcycle. Gary Desrosiers from the Haitian police had identified the slain police officer as Wilbert Etienne. The two motor cyclists cornered him on a road in the Port-au-Prince neighborhood of Delmas 24 and shot the off-duty policeman several times before he died. Etienne was also traveling on a motorcycle. It is quite obvious that killing was planned by someone who knew his loan plans.
Assassination of journalist Marc Elie Pierre, Radio Mélodie FM

On the evening of Thursday, April 2, 2015 when Marc Elie Pierre, a young journalist from the Radio Mélodie FM 103.3 was returning home from the beach and boarded a public transportation vehicle, camionette, in the locality of Paloma, as he usually did in the evening, he was shot multiple times and was killed on the spot. Upon mounting the vehicle, two or more armed unidentified individuals on a motorcycle opened fire at point blank range to the young journalist, several times. Marc Elie Pierre was well known for his Saturday musical show on 103.3 FM Radio.
Marc is survived by his wife and two young sons, 5 years and 1 year.
Guiteau Toussaint, Assassinated At Home In Petion-Ville, Haiti

Assassination of Jules Edouard Moscoso

Jules Edouard Moscoso is the cousin of Robert Moscosso and Robert is the father of the Moscoso children who were kidnapped by the Clifford Brandt network.

Mireille Durocher Bertin assassination
Here is a picture of Mrs. Durocher Bertin died at the age of 35. She was a well known lawyer assassinated by bandits in Port-au-Prince
She was assassinated in a white Subaru in which Mireille Durocher Bertin was traveling
It was reported that gunmen in a red Mitsubishi jeep shot up the front tire to stop the car. They then got close to the window and fired from both sides of the car. Mireille Durocher Bertin and her driver were shot many more times.
The death of this prominent lawyer was a symbol used by many to get back at the government of Jean Bertrand Aristide. This death has become a rallying point for members of various groups who wanted an end o the Lavalas regime . They all attributed the shooting to President Aristide's supporters. The supporters of President Jean Bertrand Aristide denied any involvement on the crime.
Police Officer Yves Michel Bellefleur - Assassinated
This is a picture of the Police Division Inspector Yves Michel Bellefleur who was Assassinated.
He was gunned down by heavily armed assailants on November 9, 2012 near the Gérald Bataille circle in Tabarre. Some people feel that this killing is a result to the recent arrest of prominent Haitian businessman Clifford Brandt and several others on kidnapping charges
Interestingly enough, in the afternoon of that same day, Johnby Mathieu who was another policeman, was also shot dead at Portail Saint-Joseph
Father Jean Marie Vincent Assassination
The good work of the slain Father Jean Marie Vincent, assassinated by a flood of bullets in August of 1994, knows no bounds. As such, it was famously lamented by Claudette Werleigh, a colleague of Vincent's at the Catholic Relief Services, that not just one man had been killed by his murder. Father Vincent helped build Haiti by raising money and providing assistance for grass-roots groups. He aided farmers in finding overseas markets for their crops, did work with the poor and simply gave of himself plainly, often endangering his life for the rights of others.
