Michel Stéphane Bruno (born May 8, 1974; assassinated June 15, 2016) was a Haitian consultant in Information Systems. He was passionate about technology and the knowledge economy-- a system of consumption and production that is based on intellectual capital. Over a decade, Bruno, a humble and modest genius had worked in the field of technology at national, regional and global level. With a diverse background, he had worked on applying ICT solutions (information and communications technology) to business, e-Governance, mobile technologies, e-business and m-commerce. His ultimate goal was to establish a vibrant, solutions-oriented IT environment which would create jobs and opportunities and help the emergence of a new class of entrepreneurs rooted in innovation. On Wednesday, between 8:00 and 8:30 am, he was shot dead by two motorcycle borne assailants at Puits Blain 17. When the bandits fired, he tried to flee with his Jeep Land Cruiser but received a single bullet and lost the control of his vehicle that collided with a wall. With him, Haiti has lost a visionary and creative genius, an amazing human being.

Here is a picture of Magda Desrameaux Richard assassinated in Delmas 19 as she was picking up her children from a beauty salon.

On Friday night July 22, 2016, in Delmas 19, Ms. Magda Desrameaux Richard was assassinated by an unknown gunman while she was picking up her children from a beauty salon. She was the cousin of the deputy of the town of Tabarre, Mr. Caleb Desrameaux. Magda's father, Max Gasto Desrameaux, is an engineer and the former president of the "Alliance Francaise" of port-de-Paix. Magda Desrameaux Richard, the mother of two children, was born in Port-de-Paix, attended the College Notre Dame de Lourdes and was very popular among young people of her generation. So far no arrest has been reported and the motive of the crime is still unknown. Magdala Desrameaux is the wife of Richard Blind and the niece of former Agriculture Minister Hébert Docteur. According to some sources, the bandits managed to leave the spot with victim's vehicle Toyota Hilux, IMM: AAO3310, which was later found abandoned at Bi Delta in Delmas 31, Okay City.

Here is a street child in Haiti used by gang members as their informers to assassinate Police Officers.

Haiti has thousand of street children, mostly in Port-au-Prince and the other big cities. In Haiti, there are around 300,000 children that live as Restaveks and 75% of them are girls. Restaveks children are badly treated, often exploited and victims of sexual abuse. They live in unimaginable, unhygienic and precarious environment; seldom receive access to food and education. To stay alive, many of them beg, load buses, wash cars, while others for a better living and protection, join criminal gangs. There was a time when many street children were murdered by the Haitian police, death squads and the former Haitian military. There were certain groups of former military patrols in Port-au-Prince who used to kill street children "for sport." The number of street children in Haiti has increased five times since President Aristide was ousted. In a nation of 10 million, where poverty is common, one of eight children dies before the age of 5, orphanages often are the last refuge of hope-- it is no wonder that thousands of children have made the street their home. If any of them gets killed, no authority ever picks the body or investigates the crime.

Robert Anglade, the owner of Hotel Jardins Sur Mer in the region Zanglais became the victim of a terrible crime. He was assassinated at his home on Thursday April 7, 2016, shot dead by an unknown individual.

Before taking on his dream to open Hotel Jardins sur Mer, Robert Anglade was leaving in Canada. The hotel was reputable for offering a comfortable and relaxing atmospher to peole from all over the world. He was quite successful and contributed tremendously to the community of Zanglais d'Aquin. He was 74 years old

Here is a picture of Yonel Previllon, former PHTK Deputy Candidate for Desdunes wo was assassinated.

On Saturday, February 9, 2016, the body of Lyonel Previlon was found in the area of Delmas 75 near the vehicle of presidential candidate Jovenel Moïse whom he was accompanying. Lyonel is a former PHTK parliamentary candidate from the Commune of Desdunes. We might remember that Lyonel Previlon was one of the 14 candidates (13 for deputies and 1 in the Senate) who were delisted by the CEP following the acts of violence on voting day of August 9 in several electoral constituencies. In the August 9, 2015 election, he was a candidate for deputy from Desdunes (Artibonite); he was accused on charges of violating of the election acts and removal of ballot boxes. The PHTK platform is well known for preaching tolerance and condemning violence. The platform PHTK has conveyed condolences to the family of the victim and has called for an immediate, serious independent investigation to find the culprit behind this assassination.

The period of instability continues in Haiti. A Police Officer was killed in Martissant.

In the early morning on February 12, 2016, a Haitian police officer was killed by multiple gunshots while he was patrolling on a motorcycle in Martissant, 21, a rough section of the country's capital. The PNH has confirmed that the slain officer was an employee of the Directorate of Traffic, named David Dume. He was in uniform, left home for his workplace. There have been no arrests in Friday's killing. As per Haitian National Police spokesman Frantz Lerebours, an investigation is under way. Martissant is a troubled district long known for gang activity.
