The very close friend of President Michel martelly, Josue Pierre-Louis, seems to be the basis for the creation of the new Permanent Electoral Council.

One Haitian Senator who is against this is Steven Benedict. He denounced that the appointment of Mr. Joshua Pierre-Louis as one of the six members for the Permanent Electoral Council. As you can remember, this nomination was made recently by President Michel Martelly

There is a message that was given with this action. If you were a member of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), don't try to leave the country. At least, this is what Ribel Pierre and Gaillot Dorsinvil have been told quite clearly.

The passport of the former counselor Ribel Pierre was taken a Toussaint Louverture Airport on December 31, 2011 by immigration officer as he was trying to leave the country.

The "Haitian Joudalist" has learned that the President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), Gaillot Dorsinvil, is currently not in Haiti. According to Senator Youri Latortue, left the country although there is an order for him to remain in the country.

This is a picture of the Leon Manus who died in October, 2012. He is a former President of the CEP.

Mr. Leon Manus fled to the United States while he was in charge of CEP in Haiti due to conflict in the election during Aristide government. The election results were not to the satisfaction of the current government at the time.
