The original plan of the Dominican Republic to build a University in Haiti received a push from a friendly country. Taiwan just donated $1.0 million to support the project. The Taiwan's diplomat handed the check today to head of the State Works Supervisory Office in the Dominican Republic.

The proposed Haitian University which was made by president Leonel Fernandez is expected to have a capacity for 10,000 students. One more Haitian has become the victim of crime in the Dominican Republic. However, this time it's not any Haitian citizen. According to Le Matin newspaper, four armed men robbed Daniel Supplice and his family and took cell phones and valuables.
Daniel Supplice was in the city of Santiago to participate in a wedding. The Minister of Haitians Living Abroad, was not hurt but shaken as a result of the incident. He has announced that more information will be provided on Monday
