Haiti National Council of Government

February 07, 1986 Port-au-Prince, Haiti: Here is a picture of the members of the National Council of Haitian Government, also called military-civilian government or junta that replaced former Haitian dictator Jean-Claud Duvalier. This picture was taken during the ceremony instituting the new team. Members include: Colonel Max Valles, Colonel William Regala, Lieutenant General Henry Namphy, Alix Cineas, Gerard Gourgue, Colonel Prosper Avril.

The National Council of Government was the ruling body of Haiti from 1986 to 1988. Henri Namphy (born November 2, 1932 in Cap-Haïtien) was a political figure and Haitian general. He served as the President of Haiti's such interim ruling body, the National Council of Government, from February 7, 1986 to February 7, 1988. Again, Namphy served as the President of Haiti (from June 20, 1988 to September 17, 1988) until his deposition by a Haitian coup d'état. The National Council of Government was formed as a joint military and civilian provisional government following the exile of President for Life Jean-Claude Duvalier. The council consisted of a President, Lieutenant General Henri Namphy, and five Members, three from the military (Colonel Max Valles, Colonel Prosper Avril and Colonel William Regala) and two civilians (Maitre Gérard Gourgue and Mr. Alix Cinéas). Resignation of Gerard Gourgue on March 20, 1986, led to a commotion among this small group and a new National Council of Government was formed within a month with three members (Colonel William Regala, Mr. Jacques François from April 1987 and Me. Luc D. Hector from February 1988) and 13 ministers. This ruling body took two important measures: rehabilitation of the blue and red Haitian flag on February 17, 1986 and the dissolution of the Volunteers of National Security on February 15, 1986.

Liliane Pierre Paul getting emotional during Homage, February 2016

Liliane Pierre Paul getting emotional during Homage, February 2016

Here is a picture of Radio personality Liliane Pierre Paul as she was very emotional during a ceremony organized on her behalf in February, 2016.

This was organized in response to the degrading Carnival song produced by President Michel Martelly about Liliane

As per Dandin's statement the threats of these two friends of the President (Jojo and Roro), are not only against Liliane Pierre-Paul and Monard Metellus-- it challenges everyone. Liliane Pierre-Paul is a star reporter and the President of the Association of Haitian Media and women's organizations. She is a pride of the Haitian society. Joseph (Jojo) Lorquet was arrested earlier for mafia related shady deals related to arms license, and others. Ronald (Roro) Nelson is well known in Haiti for his close association with Martelly and he uses that relation as a protective shield for his rowdy behavior and violent activities mostly on innocent people with beating and threatening with guns. In the early morning of December 1, 2015, the office of Radio Télé Kiskeya was a target of gun attack.
The brawl between Martelly and Liliane Paul actually started almost three years ago on May 16, 2013 when Martelly visited Radio, Television Caraibes for a program and commented if Lilianne Pierre Paul terms 'Michel Martelly' as 'Sweet Micky', there would be nothing wrong for him to call her as "Ti Lili. As per Haitian proverb, if you add "Ti" before someone's name, you infer that, the person is a thief. Liliane said, Sweet Micky is the name that brought fame to Martelly's musical career and his position as the Head of the State, whereas 'Lily' is a name that was affectionately given by her brother. It is quite obvious for Martelly to have a personal grudge against Liliane because, she has always remained vocal against all irregularities and election frauds, especially targeting Martelly's PHTK platform. Recently, the President Martelly has released his carnival meringue for 2016 targeting journalist Liliane Pierre-Paul.

Membres de la Commission consultative présidentielle

Membres de la Commission consultative présidentielle

Here is a picture of the Consultative commission put in place by President Michel Martelly. They are probably the last hope before the country falls into total KO

Here are the names:
This commission consists of the following members:

Gérard Gourgues, Patrick Aris, Evans Paul, Chavannes Jeune, Paul Loulou Chéry, Odette Roy Fombrun, Gabriel Fortuné, Réginald Boulos, Rony Mondestin, Charles Suffra and Ogé Beauvoir

Haiti President Martelly's discussions with political and social factions have proved fruitless to break a deadlock to ease political tensions and persuade six opposition senators to pass an amendment to an electoral law. Because the legislators refuse to fill a quorum of the required 16 needed to hold a session to pass legislation, no elections can be held. By January 12th of next year only 10 senators will be left, effectively shutting down Parliament. It is possible Martelly could rule by Presidential decree, unless he decides to extend the term of Parliament.

Despite the threat of a Martelly dictatorship, extremists won't negotiate with him. Their strategy is to build a nation-wide protest movement to force him out of office. In Gonaïves pro-government demonstrators ordered the opposition-six senators to pass the amended electoral law so elections can quickly be held to avoid a constitutional crisis.
