The medical visitors to Dame Marie from ST. Francis Hospital in Connecticut in October 2011 were given welcome by hospital administrator, Pierre Antoine, who allowed the group a base in his home and acted as their guide and guard during their stay in Haiti's winsome west. Having his roots firmly founded, by the scale of generations, in Dame Marie, Antoine and his family became the best source for advocating the town and its potential to the visiting doctors. The family was subsequently invited to Hartford for a dinner.

Haitian Students Using Tactics From Henri Christophe To Build School

Here is a picture of some school children in Haiti carrying bricks on top of their heads to build a school on top of a mountain in Haiti.

As Haitians, doesn't that remind you of something back in the history of Haiti?

Isn't this the way Roi Henri Christophe built the Citadele Laferiere.

I don't know about you to mee it seems like these Haitian Students are using the same tactics that Henri Christophe used to build their School. I can only see hard labor and abuse.

The only sad thing about this is that it has been close to 200 years ago since the Citadele was built and we did not know any better. Has there been any progress in Haiti since?
