The unsuspecting traveler to Haiti may be in for quite a shock when he or she notices for the first few times Haitian men, women and children relieving themselves on the side of the roads. While most will not know what to take away from this, public urination is quite common in Haiti where there are no public restroom facilities. While travelers are prompted to use the toilets in restaurants and hotels, Haitians will use nature with some women even dressing for the eventuality.
