It is expected to be a solution for the housing problem in Haiti since the 2010 earthquake. This project is expected to build over 300, 000 homes

Here is another picture of Morne cabrite Village. By its name, Village Lumane Casimir in Morne-à-Cabris it was named to honor a great Haitian singer Lumane Casimir

This is one of teh major plans by the Haitian government to remove the people affected by the 2010 earthquake that killed over 300,000 people in Haiti and place them in permanent housing

The project is expected to build 3,000 rental houses in Morne-à-Cabris.

On May 16, 2013, President Michael Martelly conducted the inauguration of the new village. It is taking the name of a great Haitian singer Lumane Casimir for her contribution to the rich culture of Haiti, music in particular. The inauguration was the part of 1st phase of rental housing construction in Morne-à-Cabris.
The objective of this project is to build clos to 3,000 rental houses in Morne-à-Cabris for the people affected by the 2010 earthquake
