Youri Latortue admitted PHTK rigged elections
Senator Youri Latortue who was an adviser to president Michel Martelly admitted that PHTK had rigged the elections of August 9 and October 25, 2015. He is afraid the provisional president of Haiti, Jocelerme Privert is attempting to do the same thing that PHTK did by rigging the coming elections toward a particular group.
As per the news dated June 19, 2016, Youri Latortue, the Senator of Ayiti An Asyon (AAA) and former advisor to former President Martelly has finally admitted that Martelly's political party PHTK had rigged the elections on August 9 and October 25, 2015. And he did not stop here. He has further warned, he believes that President Jocelerme Privert is planning to rig the coming elections in favor a specific group in the same way as PHTK did". Youri Latortue is an outspoken senator and one of Haiti's most powerful politicians. He was a lieutenant in the Haitian Armed Forces (FADH). It is a known fact that he was involved in many of the political killings carried out during the 1991-94 coup, in particular the shooting of Father Jean-Marie Vincent in August 2004. According to the testimony and reports of many colleagues, Latortue is a gang godfather, drug-trafficker and death-squad leader. He is the big boss of Gonaïves who has helped bring down Haitian governments several times. In a 2007 cable published by Wiki Leaks, it was learned that U.S. Ambassador to Haiti Janet Sanderson described him as "the poster boy for political corruption in Haiti."
June 14, Jocelerme Privert must go, said PHTK and allies
A new political structure was formed with only one objective: to remove Privert from office. According to the group headed by Evans Paul, June 14, Jocelerme Privert must go,
The 120-day mandate of Jocelerme Privert's appointment as the interim president as per February 5th accord has ended on June 14, 2016 and has left Haiti in an uncertain power vacuum. His installation as the interim president came as per an agreement with the proposition that the interim President will hold his office for 120 days (since February 14, 2016) and remain responsible to organize the overdue presidential election before April 24, 2016 and install a new President on May 14, 2016. However, the unfinished election could not be completed following the audit of an Independent verification Commission which said the election of October 25, 2015, was marred by massive frauds. Neither the lawmakers could meet in a National Assembly to resolve the matter by deciding whether to elect a successor or extend Privert's term. On the last day of Privert's term as the president, the Haitian Tet Kale Party (PHTK) of former President Martelly and its allies formed a "general mobilization" force [called Entente Democratic (ED), or Democratic Agreement] with a single object of overthrowing Provisional President Jocelerme Privert from power. The former prime minister, Evans Paul, as the head of the platform has announced, continuation of Privert as the Interim President without any title or quality is against the law of the country and is a matter of a criminal offence. The three branches of government, such as, Executive, Legislative and Judiciary, should meet immediately to bring back the country onto the rail of the constitution.

June, 2016: Evans Paul: "Lè w pa konpoze, Ou dekonpoze, lè w finn dekonpoze yo depoze w "
As per the news report dated June 18, 2016, a new political opposition coalition "Democratic Agreement" (ED) referring Article 149-1 of the Haitian Constitution, has claimed that once the term of a Haitian President expires, he cannot continue to act as the President of Haiti any more. As per their referred Article (149-1), the acting President may in no case, be a candidate in the next Presidential election. Furthermore, as per Article 134-3, the President of the Republic may not be re-elected. He may serve an additional term only after an interval of five (5) years. Former Prime Minister Evans Paul as the spokesperson of the coalition group said, the mandate of the former President Jocelerme Privert had ended on 14 June 2016; he cannot any more continue or re-elect as the Haitian President.
PHTK gets violent by throwing stones at Radio Caraibes building
PHTK protesters launched slaugans against journalist, radio show host Jean Monard Methelus and threw stones on the building, breaking several windows.
On Saturday, May 14, 216, the supporters of former President Martelly shouted slogans against journalist and radio show host Jean Monard Methelus and threw stones on the Radio Caraibes building, breaking several windows. It appears that PHTK, the Political Party of former President Michel Martelly, no longer believes in non-violent protests. The violent protest was led by Fednel Monchery of Repons Peyizan and Jude Lajoie of Platfom Viktwa-- both are defenders of Martelly's handpicked presidential candidate Jovenel Moses. PHTK has already disapproved the audit commission created by the provisional president Privert to check the credibility of the election. The agitators were demanding to continue the controversial election which is presently under the scanner of the verification commission. However, the demonstrators consider this delay caused by the audit/verification is in violation of the accord signed earlier, as it is nothing but a step to cancel the earlier election held in the Martelly regime.
Andre Michel wants PHTK disqualified, listed as terrorist organization
Haitian Attorney Andre Michel wants PHTK disqualified from the electoral process and listed as terrorist organization.
Michel Andre, a lawyer and the former presidential candidate of JISTIS, considers that the Parti Haitien Tet Kale (PHTK) of former President Michel Martelly, should no longer be considered as a democratic political party, but a terrorist group and has asked the Ministry of Justice to revoke their party credentials in the next election. This was his reaction following the armed attacks at the Les Cayes police station in the dawn of May 16, 2016 which resulted in the death of a policeman, four attackers, and injuries to five officers. One of the captured attackers has told the local reporters that former Senator Guy Philippe, a presidential candidate (Front for National Reconstruction, a guerrilla group) who was a former Tonton Macoutes leader and former Haitian Police Chief, was behind the attack. Andre criticized the demonstrations led by the PHTK that resulted in the destruction of citizens' property. He also feels that CEP should have taken proper action against the PHTK much earlier, because they were behind the violence leading up and during the August 9, 2015 elections and massive frauds undertaken during the October 25, 2015 polls.

He is affectionately called as "Banana Man" by the countrymen.
Friends and supporters of Jovenel Moise in the streets
Here are some friends and supporters of Jovenel Moise in the streets of Port-au-Prince demanding the holding of the second tour of election.
On Sunday, April 24, 2016, thousands of supporters of presidential candidate Jovenel Moise (PHTK) came to the street demanding quick second phase of elections to end a crisis of power in the country. The runoff has been postponed several times due to instable political conditions and other reasons. In the first round of presidential elections, held on October 25, 2015, Martelly nominated Jovenel Moise secured first position with 32.8% votes, defeating runner up Jude Celestin (LAPEH) with 25.3% votes. There were numerous allegations of false voting, manipulation on counting and there were huge protests against the results published by the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) favoring Martelly's candidate Jovenel Moise. On November 29, 2015, Celestin and another seven presidential candidates, representing 49.81% of the vote, gave an ultimatum that no honest, transparent and credible election is possible by the Martelly administration in conjunction with the corrupt CEP along with the support of Police Nationale d'Haïti (PNH). Now Martelly is no more in power. Two bitter opponents, Moise (PHTK) and Celestin (LAPEH), are going to join hands and fight against Interim President Privert, demanding a quick election. There is a possibility to watch a joint rally from PHTK and LAPEH supporters on the streets demanding early elections.

Here is a picture of the logo for LAPEH and PHTK.
Now the Haitians are waiting to watch one of the most famous reunions. From once worst enemy, fighting against the Martelly administration (PHTK), now LAPEH is planning to join PHTK and fight against the government of Privert. In last April, Jean Hector Anacacis, the coordinator of the Alternative League for Progress of Haiti (LAPEH) has said his party is equally worried like PHTK about the willingness of Privert administration to hold elections. He did not preclude the possibility of being in the street with PHTK supporters against Privert as they share common interests. On January 2016, at the Kinam Hotel, Jovenel Moïse, the presidential candidate from PHTK, mentioned his LAPEH opponent Jude Célestin as a competitor, not an opponent. As per his statement, Jude Célestin is a competitor who is Haitian. We can sit down together and talk for the benefit of the country.

In the August 9, 2015 election, he was a candidate for deputy from Desdunes (Artibonite); he was accused on charges of violating of the election acts and removal of ballot boxes.
