Haitian-American Linda Dorcena Forry is the actual Massachusetts state representative. In 2009, Linda Dorcena Forry was named Chairman of the Joint Committee on Community Development and Small Business.

As a first generation of Haitian American, Massachusetts state representative Linda Dorcena Forry holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Boston College Carroll School of Management and is currently a Masters Degree Candidate in Public Administration at Suffolk University.

Lucie Tondreau is from La Vallee de Jacmel. She and her family left Haiti under the dictatorship of Duvalier.

She studied in Montreal and then moved to Miami in 1986.

She was born in Haiti in 1953, but has been in Canada since 1970.

Tifane has a lot of awards to justify her musical talent. she received Revelation of the year 2005 award, the Ticket Gold Award 2006 by Musique en Folie, Best Female Artist in New York in April 2007, the Honor and Merit Award in March 2007 for her contribution to the realization of project "Cultural Discovery" of World Vision Haiti.

At the age of five, Tifane started with dancing lessons. this love for music continued during high school. At that time, she participated in all cultural activities at school and in her neighborhood

After Highschool, Tifane left haiti to study sociology in Chicago. After graduation, she moved back home and started her own musical group.
Tifane works with many important personalities in the Caribbean music world such as eline Michel, Fabrice Rouzier, Boukman Eksperians, and some from other countries like Monique Seka, Eric Virgal and Maria de Barros.

The Haitian President and his wife Elizabeth Debrosse Delatour were married on December 6, 2009. Mrs. Delatour was one of Preval's economic advisors who became widow after her husband Leslie Delatour passed away.

The Haitian president was married twice before, to Guerda Benoit and Solange Lafontant.
