According to a news release, minister Louis Farrakhan will be in Haiti this Month. The dates are from December 11th to the 15th.
The black religious and social leader Farrakhan has been in Haiti and this will constitute his first. He wants to have a constructive dialogue with all religious authorities of the country.

Louis Farrakhan Muhammad, Sr. was born on May 11, 1933. He is the leader of the African-American religious movement the Nation of Islam (NOI).

Michel Martelly invited to participate in U.S. oldest civil rights organization, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, (NAACP) , convension on 2013 in Orlando, Florida. This year NAACP will mark the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and also the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Mississippi NAACP leader Medgar Evers.

The NAACP which is the oldest and largest civil rights organization in the United States was founded in 1909 to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.

Michel Martelly Government took decree (July, 2013) to ban construction, fishing and hunting in mangrove forests - U.S. government has allocated $170 million to build a port and a power plant to serve Caracol Industrial Park - Caracol industrial park, the power plant and port are "interdependent" - Ports in Dominican Republic is now being used to supplies Caracol industrial park.
