The new cathedral in Port-au-Prince plan was submitted by Puerto Rican architect Segundo Cardona and team and approved by a panel of six professionals at the University of Miami School of Architecture.

Here is a picture of Lucmane Delile, the new Commissioner of the Government of Port-au-Prince

Mr. Delile took office Tuesday as the new Commissioner of the Government of Port-au-Prince in October, 2012.
One of his priority as the new Government commissioner mentioned is a war on crime. He wants to deal with the kidnapping problem that has created insecurity in Haiti for a long time head to head

His direct message to the kidnappers: "They should change professions and hand over their weapons to become good citizens. Otherwise, they will simply take refuge in a hole"

Here is a picture of the Haitian activist Rene Civil. He is a member of Fanmi Lavalas and a former leader of the group Jeunesse Pouvoir Populaire or JPP.

The JPP group was very popular and active at one point in time. The people in charge provided financial support to encourage the youth to pursue their studies in school or learn a trade.

They were also very strong supprter of the Lavalas an President Jean-Bertrand Aristide

, and set up centers where young people could get a hot meal and political education.

The population in the city of jacmel poes not want kidnapping to take over their their city. On November 19, 2012, they took their cause to the streets to denounce authorities in the City for not providing a safe environment for the population

The population involved in the protest in Jacmel denounced the recent increase in criminality and kidnapping occurring throughout the city. It was the second time in just a few weeks the population has spoken against Kidnapping
